Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026. Beta version.

Beta version. This policy will be reviewed by a solicitor before launch.

Who We Are

Fallow is quoting, job and invoicing software for Australian landscapers. It is run by Fallow ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What We Collect

  • About you (the account holder): your name, email address, business name, ABN, phone number and sign-in details.
  • About your customers, crew and subcontractors: whatever you type in or upload to run your business, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, gate codes, site photos, quotes, invoices and payments.
  • How you use Fallow: basic technical information such as sign-in times, browser type and error reports, so we can keep the app working.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health or criminal records) on purpose. Please do not put it in Fallow.

Why We Collect It

  • To run Fallow for you: storing your jobs, quotes, invoices and messages.
  • To send the emails and text messages you choose to send. Nothing is sent without you tapping send.
  • To sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • To fix problems and improve the app.
  • To contact you about your account.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.

Your Business Data Is Yours

The information about your customers, crew and jobs belongs to your business. We hold it for you and only use it to provide Fallow. Each business can only see its own data.

Who We Share It With

We use these services to run Fallow:

  • Supabase: stores your data, in Sydney, Australia.
  • Vercel: runs the website.
  • Resend: sends emails.
  • Twilio: sends text messages.
  • Sentry: error reports, only if switched on.
  • Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks: only if you connect them yourself.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Sending Information Overseas

Your stored data stays in Sydney. Some services above (Vercel, Resend, Twilio, Sentry) are based in, or may process information in, the United States and other countries. We choose providers with strong security and we take reasonable steps so they handle information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How We Keep It Safe

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to your business, and every business's data is kept separate. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information while your account is open. Anything you delete is kept for 30 days in case of mistakes, and then removed for good. If you close your account, we delete your data, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Getting A Copy Of Your Information

You can download your data at any time from Settings, using Download My Data. You can also ask us for a copy.

Correcting Your Information

You can update most information yourself in the app. If something is wrong and you cannot fix it, contact us.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

If Something Goes Wrong (Data Breaches)

If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Making A Complaint

Contact us first and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy. We will show the new date at the top, and tell you about big changes.
